Salvianolic acid B attenuated cisplatin-induced cardiac injury and oxidative stress via modulating Nrf2 signal pathway

Cardiovascular complications have been well documented as the downside to conventional cancer chemotherapy. As a notable side effect of cisplatin (CDDP), cardiotoxicity represents major obstacle successful treatment cancer. It has reported that Salvianolic acid B (SalB) possesses cardioprotective quality. However, SalB on cardiac damage caused by chemotherapy remains unclear. In this study, we clarified protective cisplatin-induced heart injury. Furthermore, in H9c2 cells, dramatically reduced apoptosis and oxidative stress modulating nuclear factor erythroid-2-related 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway. conclusion, had great potential mitigating more attention should be placed natural active compounds containing with antioxidant effects for cardiomyopathy.
